ABOUT US:
 TAWNA NATURKAS |
Let me introduce myself to you. I am the product of pretty adventurous parents. I was born in Anchorage, Alaska and spent the first few years of my life in small bush towns, where my parents ran the schools. When my mother decided that Alaskan bush villages were no place to raise her daughter, we moved back to Northern Michigan. Getting teaching jobs in the specific area that they wanted proved to be no easy task and we were forced to relocate to Mackinac Island, which held just the right mix of adventure and yet closeness to loved ones to suit the whole family. I have spent a good part of my life on Mackinac Island, even in adulthood, owning a small shop there for two years. Just before my sons were born we moved to Harbor Springs, where we have found a happy medium of luxurious resort community and everyday convenience and "real world". I have loved Harbor since the day I moved. The pristine beauty and unique small town charm are intoxicating. There is just the right mixture of excitement and dull moments to keep us quite satisfied. My husband, our children and I take full advantage of all the area has to offer, we enjoy to kayak, bike, jog, ski, snowboard, ice boat, hunt mushrooms and of course we love to sail and boat.
I started to sell real estate here because I believe that we live in the best place available. We have it all in Northern Michigan, prestigious winter and summer sports, cultural enrichment for the whole family, top notch school systems, four beautiful seasons and many lakes and rivers for year round enjoyment. When deciding on a career, I sat down and thought about things that I really love and each one was associated in one way or another to living in our area. I decided that I would like to help others achieve, in some way, the same spectacular lifestyle that I enjoy; whether it is a vacation home that is used just months of the year or a total relocation to our area. My family is living a full and privileged life because of Northern Michigan and I hope to help bring that same experience to others.
